Panda And Snail
Panda and Snail are an illustration duo I designed for practice and for fun. They do all sorts of things together, often serving to give advice and make people smile.
I created them in Illustrator.
The first concept piece I did for the BDA
On top of the chicken coop is Vincent's favorite place to sit, mostly because it makes Bert nervous.

Cool Cat
I designed this illustration for a little 9 year old boy named Cole. I stayed with his grandparents the summer of 2012 while working as an intern at Carole's Copy and Print in Searcy. He was lonely and a little bored, so he started making up a story about a cat that rode a motorcycle. He would tell me about it when I got home from work. I drew this in illustrator and had it printed for him. I wanted his story to come alive for him in a way only pictures can do.
The Barnyard Detective Agency
This is a kids book series I am in the process of developing. The series is about an unlikely trio, Bert, The hound dog, Samantha the Barn cat, and the main character, Vincent the Fox. Together they solve mysteries on the farm.
They are a combinatin of watercolor and Illustrator.
The Sage Cat is an article from the magazine Cat Fancy. I designed the character the Sage Cat to help portray the articles content.

Magazine Illustration
Magazine illustrations is a fun challenge as you have to illustrate the magazine in such a way that it enhances the article not distract.
Red Riding Hood, Peter, and the Wolf
I took the traditional story of Red Riding Hood and combined it with that of Peter and the Wolf. Red Riding Hood's tale is told on the main page while Peter's tale is told in the Border.
I used art markers to create the images and set the type in Indesign.
Sketches
I love to draw, and it is essential for a well planned illustration or project that you draw and create different ideas.
The Marx Brothers
All growing up I watched the Marx Brothers, so I choose to create these charcoal illustrations for a series of posters and to be put on mugs honoring these great comedians.
Character Design
Quink is from a subterranean race of imps. His eyebrows are very similar to antenna and help him navigate in the pitch black of the caves. He befriended a darkness fairy, who now insists on following him everywhere he goes.
The second is a fairy design based on a fire lily and a grasshopper.
Both were painted on the computer using a tablet.
Watercolor
One of my favorite avenues of artistic expresion is watercolor.
Passion for Pumpkins
Last Fall I worked as one of three main artists on Jack'o Lantern Spectacular, a show put on by Passion for Pumpkins. I drew on and carved a great many pumpkins for the show. Here are a few.
